While workers continue to face overwork and low wages, many workers face underwork and irregular and unstable work scheduling largely unregulated by federal labor policy. My research examined the relationship between unstable work scheduling and workers’ perception of job insecurity. With Ryan Finnigan, we analyzed the effectiveness of state reporting pay policies designed to minimize the impact of shift cuts.
